Motu HD system VS RME?

I'm looking to upgrade my setup as I'm sick of tracking beats/songs and bringing them another studio for mixdown. I wanna start mixing my work instead of paying for it at this point.

I'm looking at the Motu HD896 or 192 or the new Firewire interface by RME. I'll be looking to get a higher end PC with Nuendo.

Feedback is appreciated.

I've got the RME HDSP 9632...it sounds amazing and comes with some really useful mastering tools and internal mixer. Many people say that the RME has a much nicer sound than the MOTU products. The fireface has had good reports from users. I've got nothing but praise for RME products.

I use the 9652 and have nothing but praise for it. i can't confirm if it souds better than MOTU, i think they're pretty much the same in soundquality.
For a pc RME used to be better than MOTU. RME have very good drivers, and tech support for pc. When i bought my soundcard (a year ago) a lot of people with MOTU"S were complaining about old drivers that didn't work that well with pc's, but they've probably fixed most problems by now.

From all the info I'm gathering it seems to me that the RME is superior regarding sound quality. However the studios I've been going to for my mixdowns use Motu interfaces and the sound is great (Sample rates still kept at 44.1).

Seems both have their ups and downs - I'm leaning towards the Rme but definitely got some more research to do on this.
