ok I just started using this feature, you might be using it all the time or you may have just ignored it like me, I mean such an insignificant thing like Copy/Paste under the name filed menu is hardly anything to really mess around with on such an anaimal like the 4k, but if you haven't utilized this, start now as it takes a load of file managing..
*everytime you are typing in a name F3&4 are Copy/Paste, by pressing the copy "yep u guess it lill fella" you copy the name, no big deal, but put this into practice
Now I just sampled and named my sample BSpears
one push copy that name),
I want to throw that into a prg (press add to prg, name the program press paste = BSpears, and Bam! your sample went straight from record mode to a named program, now you need a new folder to save to Bam! its there
the senario before had me spending way to much time tring to find little letters somewhere on the MPC's surface sorta like "where's valdo"
so copy & paste name and add to progrm are comands that u should get famliar with, it makes the paperwork fly and creating programs is a snap !!
I must admit I just started using another handy feature, its a button called pad assign
.. I used to assign all my samples in program mode alot of flying back and forth from windows now I just press a button .. only been like err two years now "cough"...
