Tempo change song mode

Might have been asked a thousand times but I couldnt find a concrete answer. Does the Ren allows you to alternate between the bpm's of the different sequences you put together in a song? (I have a couple of sequences with each a different bpm. When in song mode it automatically changes the bpm of all the sequences to the bpm of the first sequence in the song)

I'm definitely able to go between different sequences with different BPMs, no problem at all. I always make my song sequences using the next sequence mode, arrange it all up then convert to song. It's never changed the bpm of any sequence for me. Maybe if you create a song from scratch in song mode it mucks it up?

Yea i use song mode to build up sequences. Don't you have to play all the sequences out live in order to 'copy it to song'. Im not on the MP right now, but I'm checking the manual and it seems you can use F1 (to song) to make changes, but not to simply arrange a song.

Yes, you have to play them live, that's how I do it. When you're in next sequence mode, whatever arrangement you make is stored, as long as you remain in next sequence mode. Then when you're done with arranging your different patterns pressing f1 'to song' converts your performance into a song to permanently store it.

It's a little workaround, but if it helps, great!

I've suggested to Pete to bring back this options: Tempo Change feature from the Akai MPC 4000. It appears to be possible seeing Akai added the status indicator bar in the 1.7 Namm preview video which is a 4000 feature. Now that we have the event list feature I really think it's possible.

Tempo Change worked really well on the Akai 4000 and the Akai 1000. I'm capable of creating some crazy fills sequences and dope intros with programed tempo changes.

I hope they added it soon.

Tempo changes, and a Sequence/Master tempo setting, are basic MPC features that go right back to the MPC60.

I'm sure they have been requested multiple times, hopefully they include them soon.

Nobody understands why they took down many of the excellent features the 4000 has/ had. Such as real time swing.

In order to export a song with different tempos on the Mpc Ren, you do not have to CONVERT in SONG MODE. Instead, while in SONG, go to FILE and click EXPORT. This way the song will be mixed out with the different tempos, in either Wav., Aiff., or Mp3. format. Enjoy the good music.

Is it possible to do this with individual tracks? That's my main concern.
I see no other way to get stems for a full song besides converting it to one long sequence, which doesn't save your tempo changes.
My mind is still blown that you can't save tempo changes when creating a new sequence. Every other MPC in history can do that!
