Plug file no longer exist

So been making a tune ,spent a while doing it over the past week ,saved it opened it saved it , no probs
Now I try and open it, it loads the drums but all plugins no longer exist ,but they can be selected again but all my choices of sounds are gone and even when I pick them it don't sound like it did ,
Now I have that akai connect installed it constantly crashes "surprised,NO" it crashes the mpc too,

Wtf akai I was dealing with losing shit years ago when I had an Atari st and floppy disks

I'll add that I've had problems before normally I'll try and load a project and it just crashes if I load it bit by bit from the folder I find its a plug in that makes it crash and it's not always the same one

I'm not sure why your plugins are not opening correctly again but I can give you a good saving tip from years of experience with audio software.

Save different versions as you go. So the first time you save call it "song_v1", then once you've made a few changes or added major parts, choose save as and call it "song_v2". Make some more changes and save again "song_v3". This way if something gets messed up along the way and you didn't notice it happen you can always go back to a recent version of the song.

Once you're done with the track and have backed up the last file version you can delete all the previous versions to conserve space.

You can also consider naming the save files something descriptive like "song_v1_added_sick_panty_flinging_bassline" or "song_v2_balance_really_good_at_this_point" , or "song_v3_added_melody_that_makes_me_think_I_might_be_homosexual"

Incremental saves get you out of a hole... not a booty hole if you are in fact homosexual, but they work perfectly if your project somehow becomes corrupted. I've been saving that way for years in Cubase.

I did save another version but that's the same . I installed akai connect a couple of weeks back I may have done something in that software via wrapping and unwrapping the plugins but then again everything else opens .
The plug in programme is still there but the plug in file no longer exists

I had a volume error message from checkmate on my mac so I repaired the disk permissions , that might have done something
On a plus side it now sounds better than it did


What I'm gonna do is sell my copy of v collection 3 and halion sonic 2
And buy logic x and just use the the mpc in logic for drums etc
Might sell my akai max 25 and get that Roland system 1 when it releases
Akai advised me if I want to record the tb-3 to buy a DAW ,so logic it is

Are you using 32 or 64 bit software? Any chance you're trying to open 32 bit project in a 64 bit version of the software? Or the other way around.

Def 64bit , I find the arturia plugins are a bit unstable,and now I've got the akai connect software included it's worse
I've got a few projects that crash as u try to load them and if I rebuild it by loading all the bits from the folder when I get to the arturia plugin programme it crashes .
If I'm using two arturia plugins the CPU load is over half.
The latest problem was where I tried to open the project and I got error message whilst loading
"Plug in file no longer exist "
Which I've never had before,
I'll get logic and drop the arturia plugins , and akai connect,

im having this shit right now! with kontakt! i fell in love with this (illegal cracked plugin.... now all the sounds gone, i dont remember which preset and how the F! i tweaked it....this is messed up.... why that kontakt shit has to be so damn expensive....or is this also happening with licensed version???? probably not..

Edit : I managed to fix it and quickly rename instrumentname to patch...only thing i have to tweak some sounds everytime i load the song....but well okay...
