Erasing Track/Sequence from the list...

I'm going slightly crazy… Why is it so hard (or at least non-intuitive) to simply ERASE whole tracks or sequences?
And I don't mean erase all the notes… But I mean erase them from my program/sequences/track list in the bottom right of the MPC software?
I've created a few tracks and sequences. I'm not happy with them, so want to delete them. "Erase" on the hardware just erases the notes. But even after deleting every sample, the Tracks and Sequences still show up in my list! Not with sound or anything, but I can't get those damn tracks to disappear from my list!! I now have a whole bunch of empty tracks and sequences… Who helps me out here?????

what OS? did you try deleting the sequence as a whole. Highlight sequence in main window and hit window. Delete it that way.
