Midi exported from MPC won't trigger MPC

So I've had an MPC 1000 a couple weeks now, and the way I want to use it in my workflow is just to build drum kits on the mpc, then make a 4 or 8 bar sequence on the mpc, save that to the SD card then transfer it on to my mac and load it into logic so it will trigger my mpc but I can add more fills and edit the drums within logic.

The problem I'm having is the Midi I save from my MPC will trigger other logic instruments but it won't trigger my MPC, but when I draw in notes or play my midi keybaord on the same MPC track (setup with an external instrument plugin) that will trigger the mpc, but still the MIDI I exported won't. I tried saving the MIDI and transferring it 3 times to make sure something wasn't becoming corrputed, but still no joy, anyone able to help us out?

Also when I load the midi from the mpc into logic, if i pencil in extra notes into that midi the extra pencil notes will play but the midi notes that were already there still won't play/trigger the mpc

Just figured it out. On the External Instrument plugin you have to set the Midi Channel to '1' as opposed to 'ALL'.
