You have to use the samples provided, to craft an EDM, beat,
Your beat must start on the snare also, it can change to a normal feel, but the majority of the groove must start on the snare.

Outside Drums Yes

EDM means Ecclesiastical drum madness dosn't it? oh wait Electronic Dance Music. doof doof doof. Or drum and bass, and dare I say this >

i have a couple friends that make this noise so I'm trying to get them to join us for this session. not sure if they can hang but we will see.

no not dub step...

thats just ONE of the many genre's of electronic dance music. {actually It can be any pop track now days.}

but the snare thing... most tracks start on the one. try being creative when you silence the first beat in your first bar..

that's just too broad a term. it can be used to describe almost any genre of electronic music. hiphop's electronic, you can dance to it and it's definitely music, does that make it edm?

the way i see it we're supposed to make anything except hiphop for this battle is that right?

Ahh right, I see what you're saying about the snare now.
I've never heard of EDM but I think I get the jist.
Should be a bit of a challenge, be interesting to see what people come up with on this one.

Kapp yours sound like hip hop. Maybe double that tempo and see what it sounds like as drum and bass. You totally failed at not making hiphop/trip hop, and it made me laugh a bit. Borat has got it, but failed to start on the snare. I liked it to but would have left the dance floor for the beginning cos its a slow build, but its good and is EDM.
And yes Dziubadoo not hiphop/triphop, and only if you are pedantic is hiphop EDM though we know what you mean. I better get started and do something today then

for the hell of it I doubled to 160ish and it sounded like chaos.
