loop

I have a simple question, I have a sample in pad 1, what settings do I have to change to be able to hit pad 1 and have it loop continuously until I hit pad 1 again to stop it, also this sample isn't exactly 1 or 2 bars so I cant just hit record and put a midi note because I evrytime mpc goes around a hits that midi note it starts sample in wrong time, for example on sp404sx I can press LOOP and press any of the 12 banks and that loop will play continuously, how can I do same with mpc ren?

Here's away that's close to the SP 404 Loop function, however you can't trigger a pad once and have sample loop continuously without the pad being recorded into a sequence:

With the older MPC's you could set looppoints and when you had it set to loop in the trim mode, it automatically looped those points when holding down the pad for that sample in the sequencer..

This could be helpful, but the only thing is that I couldnt get this to work on the MPC

@JBM that seems like a good work around.
You might consider making a bunch of repeating notes that are held down (depending on the length of the loop), so that you can just use track mutes to bring the part in and out on 1/4 notes or 1/8 notes for example by using track mutes.

@Airyck Nice find. Yeah that would be a good option for shorter loops.
