MPC 500 -- MPC 1000 COMPATIBILITY / PROBLEM

I have a compatibility problem concerning the MPC 500 and the MPC 1000.

When I start a project on the 500 and then load it into the MPC 1000, everything works fine.

But after saving from the MPC 1000 to CF and loading into the MPC 500 again, the sequences and samples don't play, even though everything is loaded (samples, sequences, programs etc. … tempo is displayed right, even when I check the program assigned samples in program mode, the correct names are showing up).

I'm talking about the project-files here, but I also tried to save a program only and then load it into the 500, but it didn't work.

There's is ZERO sound coming out!

I'm running the latest JJOS2XL (3.43).


Anyone can help?

ah, yes, i have had this problem… it is cause jj2xl and the 500 are not compatible.. what i do is i start my mpc in jj0S1 0S1 is compatible with the 500 OS.. if u aint got OS1 u can try the free 3.16 that may work.. but yea, i have had the same problem u are speaking of with 2xl… i mostly just use OS1 for that reason..

unfortunately no option for me as track mixer and other features are so essential to me.

yea, i can use program mode for my track mixing needs,. i mostly use my 500 anyway. but sometimes i will hot swap my card to get a trim point right on point, though mostly i chop by ear in my 500… but i guess there is a flaw for everyone..

Try MPC Maid. Load your files there then convert to 500 native tongue.

Only option for now for going JJ to Aki.
