I'm having some crazy issues with my MPC1000. It has AKAI OS 2.12. Sometimes, when I edit in the step event list, I copy and past some events, and then the whole sequence will be cutting off at a certain point. When I look at the events they are all still there (on other tracks etc). In one case, I was able to find an event that listed it's bar/beat location as later than following events. In this case I deleted that an it cleared up the issue. In other cases I couldn't find such a thing this happens repeatedly.

Also, when saving sequences, projects etc it exhibits wacky behavior. If I save a program, and it is part of a project, the saved version will not be there upon rebooting without having saved the project as a whole. This has happened with sequences as well. But upon going back and loading them, after booting up, the loaded sequence or program has the edits.

i tried using an autoload, and even selecting the autoload folder to save a modified program in, and unless re-saving the project as a whole, the update doesn't load. If the project or autoload is actually saving separate copies, then saving the program or sequence into the autoload folder should find the updated version there, even if not saving entire memory to the autoload. If the autoload/project only has references pulling the separate items together to load, then saving the sequence or program independently should update that which is part of the autoload. So since I tried both ways, what gives?

These are pretty much bugs in Akai OS for this MPC sorry to say. Well at least for the events issue. The save issue is probably the same. You have to get JJ OS. There is a free one and it will address these issues and fix them for you. Can not recommend enough. I use the new OS 3 but only cos I want those feature and the free version is better than the Akai OS

I've made some tweaks that are helping. Got a new flash card and got rid of the auto load. Another goofy thing is once you do a save entire memory as a project when trying to do I to do it again there is no option to resave as it as the same project. It appears you need to save all sequences and songs and this modifies the project. Who knows if you modify a program if this would be included.

yes if you save a project it will update the programs by overwriting them in the project folder. You got to have the projects in their own folder so you do not overwrite programs wit a different project of course. You can over write the programs to
