Thank you so much for replying and persisting with helping me.

I have already tried following this instruction. I know how to export the sequences into MPC Desktop. I also can see those in iTunes under the file sharing section. The problem I am having is, say I get a new ipad, there seems to be no way of getting those saved sequences into a new device?

As a test, I created a new sequence on iMPC, then exported it this way. Then I go into my ipad and delete that sequence I've just created. When I connect my device again and sync, the sequence I deleted from my ipad still does not re-appear?

Am I missing something somewhere?

Thanks again and please bear with me :)
Al

I think I understand what's going on. It looks like the 'sync' is actually a one time transfer deal as opposed to a true sync. What you may have to do is manually copy the files back to the Ipad using iFunbox (if you aren't jailbroken) or iFile (if you are jailbroken). You should probably copy it to the /var/mobile/Applications/iMPC/Documents folder.

I donwloaded and installed ifunbox on my Mac. Got it connected finally and the ipad shows up as a device in funbox. I put the saved sequemce folder in but nithing refreshes on the ipad? Any ideas?

Make sure you have iTunes installed on the machine and that iTunes recognizes the Ipod. What model Ipod and what version IOS are you running?

Yes itunes recognises my IPAD, version 5.1.1. Wont upgrade any higher.

In ifunbox, I cant even see where the regular sequences are stored let alone the new one I have exported?

On my Ipad, version 7.04 the sequences and samples I created are stored in /var/mobile/Applications/iMPC/Documents.

How do I get to that /var path? I couldn't see it anywhere? Note my ipad is not jail broken.

That folder should be there regardless of whether your device is jailbroken or not. /var is off of the root (/). You may need to refresh by disconnecting and then reconnecting the Ipad.

I really can;t see that folder. I have reattached the ipad and refreshed. Still no folder like that. See screenshot. Any ideas?

Looks like iFunbox is displaying the file system in a different format than iFile. The location you probably need to check appears to be the User Application folder.

I've already checked every single folder in each branch of these stems and there's nothing like that. And no sequence files anywhere. Is there another piece of software that might do the trick or is there something else to try with this?

The only other thing I can suggest is to jailbreak it and use iFile. It gives you root level access to the entire file system as well as access to all of your Dropbox files.

Yes, the Ipad 1 is jailbreakable. When I had the 1 I jailbroke it with Absinthe. Checkout this guide: http://www.iphonehacks.com/2012/05/jail ... inthe.html

Right I'm close now. Ipad is jailbroken now. I file installed. I have drilled down trough /var and found the impc app. Within the documents folder there just one sequence file '1.sxq'. And also a sequence folder that I have exported from impc app. But the bulk of my documents folder is just the hundreds of wav files that I had imported from iTunes. Apart from those, I can see none of the factory sequences anywhere within that whole /var impc hierarchy. Am I missing something?
