I know, another, Card Reader and OS question

I know there is another thread similar to this but it did not help me here. So, I have an Addonics card reader in my XL, because the original MCD was not working for me. I only have a 15mb Sandisk CF card, so I got a Sandisk Ultra II 2gb card because the 1gb cards are hella expensive. I had the 1.20 OS, but I wanted to be able to use the 1.14 so I could partition it and use it. I loaded the 1.14 OS on the 15mb card, put in in and loaded the OS successfully, but now the XL will say no floppy device. I have tried unplugging the IDE cable and power cable and plugging them back in. Any help is really really appreciated, I hate to have to reload 1.20 and get a 1gb flash card. Peace.

Update: The MPC with 1.14 recognizes the original MCD card reader and provides ATAPI as an option in the load, save, format and setup menus. It doesn't, however, recognize any CF cards I put in (this includes the 15mb Sandisk, 2gb Sandisk and a 2gb Transcend). The MPC with 1.20 did the same thing with the original MCD, and didn't recognize any cards at that point either.

It is because your current reader probably needs OS 1.20 to operate, and since you loaded OS 1.14, it no longer recognises it.

You will need to find a way to load OS 1.20 back onto it, with a different card reader, or floppy drive.

Does your original MCD have a bent or broken pin in the CF slot? Do you have a different type of card, SD for example, to try in a different card slot in the MCD?
