Pad number 5 gradually stopped working a while ago. I bought pads and a sensor from mpc stuff and attempted to fix it myself. I failed miserably after cutting the ribbon too short with a pair of scissors. Now pads 5, 15, and 16 aren't working. Some time later I bought a new pair of sensors and cut the ribbon with an xacto knife this time. I stick the pad sensors on but the ribbon wouldn't go in the contact. (I don't know what that black clip thing is called) So I unscrewed the green board on the left and slipped the ribbon into the contact. I was relieved I didn't mess up. You don't understand how accomplished I feel.
Ergo, my pads are now working and all is well. Also, can anyone explain to me what that board that houses the contact is called? (I don't even know if I'm using the correct terms. Someone please correct me)
I recently jacked up my N/V slider (trying to get it to work again) and its all wobbly now. Can anyone help me out on how to get this thing working again?
After doing some fixes myself I'm starting to appreciate my stuff a lot more. It feels great.
