ay whats up? this is the first time im connecting my mpc 2000xl to logic pro 9. I have everything connected and I figured out how to use my mpc as a controller to trigger logic sounds. But what settings do I need for logic and my mpc so I can record sequences out of my mpc into logic with everything being on beat

Save those notes in the sequencer itself as a seq or midi.

ok I figured out how to do it. The mpc wont send midi notes to logic you have to record it as audio from the mpc to logic. You have to do what that article said but your gonna also need some audio cables

this is 100% false.

logic records midi from an mpc no problem.

perhaps you should explain better the problem you are having.

you have to hit the red 'r' on each software instrument track to record it.

if you are talking about audio, not sequences, then yes you need audio cables.

Or use your audio interface MIDI INPUT to record the MIDI OUTPUT of the MPC.

Or keep your MIDI tracks in the MPC sequencer.

Or get an MPC Ren/Studio/Elements...
