The point is where were you when original 4k owners were going through the nightmare of the 4k.
It was an extremely rocky road and users were going bananas.

The same programmers from the 4k were the programmers for the 1k and 2500.
It was the external team JJ was part of that had problems with Akai Japan and subsequently Akai Professional.

Yes, users going bananas, threatening a lawsuit, like I said, before Akai hired in external programmers to fix it up.

My point was that it didn't become the classic it is seen as now easily, and without users having to threaten a lawsuit.

It wasn't Akai 'Japan', Akai was US owned from 1999 onwards, long before the MPC4000.
