When working in Logic I get my footpedal working like it supposed to when playing/recording.
I can't get it to work in the REN software. In the preferences window I can only select which function it will have inside the sequencer of the REN. And not it's external plugins.

Maybe it reads a bit unclear.

What Im trying to accomplish is control the release of a note(s) with the footpedal

Where have you plugged the footpedal into when using Logic? Most probably a MIDI keyboard, connected to the computer?

In that case, it would probably be sending a MIDI sustain message into the software instrument within Logic.

The MPC footswitch inputs have never worked in that way, they have always been used for controlling MPC functions, rather than as a sustain pedal.

I think that you would have to plug the footswitch into a sustain pedal input on an external MIDI keyboard, to control the sustain in plugins within MPC Software.

This might be something to make a feature request about to Akai.
