Makes zero sense to compare those two companies...it's not like their coding/progress goes hand in hand and when one releases an update, the other is ready to fire it out immediately. Also, NI have been involved in software game way longer than Akai have and probably have more devs in their ranks.

I've got Ren, Maschine, Push, MPC 4000, s950, s3200XL...i make music with them all and accept that what one has, the other may not. That's almost like the beauty of it. Also personally i cant think of a worse way to waste one's time than dissing a product you dont own.

I'd say too early to make this assumption, unless you were referring to the feel ?...i'm not following maschine hardware failures, but I know we've had few here on the forum, and that's only forum alone

All in all, AKAI or NUBRANDMUSIC... or whatever they are called today need to stop being so stingy and hire some more programmers to work on all of their software. I bet they are not slacking in the AIR division. They got pete down in the UK somewhere pounding on keys day and night like a sweatshop probably. Hahahaha.

Aint that right Pete? Go tell em you need more funding and more programmers. You need a global company pounding keys for you.

I don't think being out there for 2 years is too early to assume. Other forums and vids usually have issues with the software. I think one thing Akai got right was the layout of the hardware. Probably could have used something else in place of vintage mode since it's been cracked. Main topics discussed here is software updates and crashing. But at the end of the day it goes hand in hand. Bad performing software will make the hardware useless.

Back to the beats, and saving often. :-D

you brought up argument to my next point, you say it being out for two years is sufficent...however out of the two years how usable the unit was, I believe it wasnt until at least 1.4 when users actually started to make something with it... you said yourself bad performing software will make the hardware useless....meaning these things aint seeing as much action as they should, which validates my point further age and use time is two different things

Started writing MPC 1.7 release notes. Not done yet, but at 31 new features. At least 6 are massive (IMHO). A number are just large. Plus…

Although I know how much trouble coding is, I was beginning to get sick of waiting for it. Can't wait to unify the mixer...

 Remember that the 1.6 release notes say November on them, but it was not actually available until January.

Don't count those chickens until they've hatched!
