Thinking about selling my ren and getting mashine studio if u own both how do u compare them , I know there slightly different so I'll add what I need from mashine over the ren
Better sounds as I've just sold a few plug ins and have very few vsts
Can I sample straight from my computer ,I don't need inputs like the ren I have a tb-3 which I could use as my sound card
,does it work we'll in logic
Is it more stable
Pads
Sampling difference
Feel free to add what u like betwee the two
I'm not hating on the ren I do like it ,I just find it a bit unstable still
Sensible replies please
Thanks in advance

I do have both. Maschine Studio is a BEAST for sure. If you can manage, I would keep the Ren and get the Maschine as well. Ren stands out as far as ease of use with samples and sequencing.

The sounds that come with the Maschine blow the Ren stock sounds out of the water. Also, Maschines expansions sound waaaay better.

The biggest set back with the Maschine is the sequencer. The sequencer (to me) is difficult as hell to use compared to the Ren.

Maschine is super stable, no crashes yet. VST use is more stable than the Ren. And yes, you can sample straight out of the computer without any external wiring if you set it up right in your preferences. Don't use it with Logic a lot.

If you love your MP, keep it, but if you are on the fence, sell it. I'm old school, so I need the MP in my life, but my Maschine gets more use than my MP.

Thanks for the reply
Think ill get one on 0% credit and keep the ren for now
When using maschine in a daw do u have to use the seq in maschine or can u just record the midi straight to the daw ,

You don't have to use Maschine's sequencer when you use it in a DAW, it is based on the sequencer of whatever DAW you are using.

Also, if you keep your Ren, you can use Maschine as a plug in within the MPC software as well. It can be a bit buggy at times using it with Ren software, but definitely worth trying out.

Congratulations with your purchase of LPX. You're not going to regret it.

The app is free, and a great addition.

I'm keeping my Ren because I'm hoping it can improve with updates and I'm an MPC user for life. I am thinking about getting Maschine for stock sounds and VST usage. Is it really that easy to use Maschine as a plugin in the MPC software? What all is possible with this setup? Anyone have videos to show or prove it?

Also, anyone with experience using Maschine in Garageband? Thanks!

Pmt my local store
Gave me 370 for the ren and they give me money back on the max 25 so I can't complain , other than my maschine has been delivered to the wrong address , and the driver is claiming he's delivered it to the right address
So currently waiting for them to sort it out

That's it for the Ren, you should have sold it on CL for more.
