Which Sampler?

Salute!
I'm one of the newest members in this forum.
Nowadays I'm looking for some wonderful samplers for beginners,for example MPC 500.
I have used MPD18 with FL for 4-5 months but I decided to buy a very useful sampler.
Altough I know a few techniques about Hip Hop production,for instance;chopping,compose some sounds and the others,I'm so rookie for these works...
My priority(first goal) is starting to learn Hip Hop production,especially mixing-mastering,effects and bassline even all things about Hip Hop...
Which sampler is very useful for me as a beginner?
500,1000,2500,5000 or another options?

Approach this with a little thought. What is your budget? What features are you after? Do you need extra outputs? Midi ins/outs? Do you require a hard drive or scsi drive?

If starting out, and you're unsure what to get, I'd probably start with a MPC1k, 2k, or 25k.

MPC 1k's are cheap, you can install a HD, have a decent amount of outputs, midi in/out, and you should be able to make beats with it.

MPC2k's are sometimes cheap, sometimes expensive (depending on how many options the owners include). This model is the one where you can pick and choose what you want to include with it. More memory? FX board? 8 output board? Flash drive? You decide. But the more you include, the more pricy it gets. If you can find a good deal on a mpc2k with all the extras included, then you won't have to worry about it. If you want to start with just a basic mpc2k and expand as you go, you can do that too. The choice is yours.

MPC25k is kinda the bigger brother to the mpc1k, but you kinda get all the extras thrown in. 8 outs, plenty of midi in/out, cd burner, hd, etc. (But you'll pay more for it) This one might be a bit of overkill, or it could be all you need. You'll have to decide.

OR.... you can get an ST-224, an SP303/404/505 and some random 2-chan audio interface to work differently. You'd create your blocks in the sampler, rec the loops in reaper and build your track from there: you already got an MPD, there are plenty of options. I'm suggesting the above phrase samplers because they're fun, cheap and plenty of character.

Since you already have a laptop set up why you don't just expand from there logically?

If I was in your shoes, knowing what I know now, I'd skip the MPC500.

In fact, I'd go for an MPC2000XL and upgrade it (8 outs/FX/CF reader) as you begin to need more flexibility. My first MPC was a 2000XL and it was perfect for learning the art of pattern-based production, which is the essence of hip-hop and many other electronic music genres.
