card adapters and which cards are the best??

hi,

i found on amazon an cf adapter card. with this card smaller cards (e.g. micro sd) can used. i have a tascam field recorder and i would be delighted if i could put the card in a cf adapter card.
what are the best cards formats (performance and prize) to save files?

could you please share your experience with different cards and maybe some of you do the swichting card technic.
