MPC 3000 : Ram Upgrade / Not working

Sup fellas,

I recently bought another mpc 3000 that was in better condition than my old one. I removed the 32 mb of ram from my old one and inserted it into the new one after removing the EXM3008 AKAI memory board of course. I turn on the mpc with the newly upgraded 32 mb but it wont detect it and displays that it has 0 memory, i know the ram is still good because it works on the other 3000 and have interchanged it a few times to test this out with no problems in my old one.

Some more info that may or may not be relevant:

-New MPC was modified to have an internal zip drive
- New MPC is OS 3.11 , old one is OS 3.10

I'm puzzled as to why it wont work. Any idea what could the problem be?

I would say make sure the connection of RAM is secured in the 3000. Not sure what else is not making machine not read RAM.

I'm gonna try to clean the contacts and if that doesn't work I'm just gonna have to buy some new ram sticks and test some different ram out.
