Early Drum n Bass and Jungle was mostly sample based (early 90's)…So could have been alot of MPC use. I know the S950 was popular in that scene

a whole load of dancehall and reggae producers used mpc since the 60 right through to now. sly dunbar (sly and robbie) made tunes like murder she wrote - chaka demus n pliers using mpc. Also dave kelly who produced for penthouse and madhouse records used one.
