In the next few days my first MPC arrives. It's an MPC4000 and i'm super hyped to get it jacked into my Cirklon and make some oots oots.
I'm doing a bit of research and was looking into accomplishing something I do easily with a DAW. Isolating sounds in a sample. Say for example I have a chop in which the drums and bass is mono, but the horns are stereo. Using a plug-in, I'd put the width into mono and flip the side out. Canceling everything in the centre and taking all left on the sides and summing them together. I'd have the horns solo.
Can this kind of thing be done in an MPC?
