Goddammit, I hate it how I always seem to post the comment that bumps onto a new page.

Yeah I built it using bits of a pallet + the dowel along the front.

Gets the shit at the back up in the air and allows cables to run through, it works well.

@Sciguy - Nay, sir! And I do not believe I've ever played with 'em before. I was robbed!

@Smashed - Something like that would help me get the Volcas off desk... that'd free up a ton of space. Think that's my next Saturday project!

I have that same akai deck. One of my neighbors just left it out in front of their house in a free box a few months ago. I haven't even really looked at it yet.

I got 1200mk2 through a technics SH-DJ1200 mixer, from there into either a roland sp-404 or into the MPC2000. Any live instruments or vox run through a TAPCO 6100RB into the sp-404 or MPC2000. Once sampled I bounce samples back and forth between the 404 and 2000 as little as possible and sequence in the 2000. Save to floppy.

@Ron - That sounds like a solid flow. I actually really dig this tape deck. I have an Allen & Heath ZED60-14 mixer in front of it with the main outs being pumped through an FMR RNC. Works like a f*cking charm!
