MPC 60 repair??

Hello,
I recently got screwed on ebay! I bought what I thought was a good deal, a fully loaded MPC 60, (new os, maxed ram, etc.) for $700. Trouble is, when I recieved it, it is all busted up, it doesn't work, the floppy drive doesnt work, the screws that hold it together are not even in, or included! The screen seems to be broken, etc, etc, etc. My question is, does anyone know if there is a repair place I can send this to? I figured if it was a reasonable price, it might be worth trying to fix it.

Forat will charge you more than it will cost to buy another one on Ebay, sorry to hear that though man there are some shady cats on the web you know! If I were you I would send it back to dude, as a matter of fact the Guitar Center here in Indianapolis has a 60 Mk II w/ the 3.10 upgrade for $700 if you wanted it just go to your local one and tell them to ship it to their store. I DO NOT WORK THERE. I just thought it was a good deal and I already have one.

I was hoping I wouldn't hear that, but I somehow knew it. Oh well. Anyone want to buy a tore up Mpc 60???

That sounds like a good deal, and I wish I could send it back and get my money back, but I treid, and no such luck! Damn PayPal! Never again! Watch out for everyting you purchase through ebay and especially PayPal!

EPR Electronics in Tampa Fl. is good at fixing Akai MPCs. I'm in Florida now and I had them service my MPC 3000 (replacing a broken pad and LCD screen) and it costs under $200.00. They serviced the unit FULLY!! They cleaned all the connections, motherboards, pads, etc. The only drawbacks for you may be shipping the item and the turnaround time before they have your unit ready (approx 2-3 months). They are always backed up.

Me too....I waited approx. 2 months for the MPC 3000 and 3 months for my Ensoniq EPS to get fixed.
