dont believe the hype about the other mpc's....Ive owned a 1000 which I didnt like, but recently I borrowed my friends 2500 and 2xl,and even thou their dope and have nice features, all the mp's are pretty similar....As far as sound, the 500 def has a little warmth and unique sound. Just because you have a big tank machine doesnt mean your going to have a big tank sound.....its all placibo. Im glad to be apart of the 500 club. People who dis the 500 have no idea what they are talking about...the only differnce of the other mpc comes down to workflow and features that it...theres no magic box, just magic ears and skills.....

Haha!! Hell yeah, the 500 got a beautiful sound. Its digital but there's a coat of warmth thats undeniable. Kinda like the difference between bitmap and vector but in sonic form.

I will attest to the awesome vibe the 500 has. I think it's one of the most valuable sampler/sequencers a person can buy. Granted that fat pads or one of the sensitivity mods are installed.

Gotta admit, the fat pads is what got in love with the 500 because the stock pads are stiff and unresponsive. Fat pads were a new world for me.

Nowadays I rock stock pads with corx upgrade. Just as blissful as Fat Pads but cheaper
