I've has maschine for 4 days and it kicks the mpc RENs arse in pretty much every department I've got into IMO
Sold my ren ,max25,halion sonic and v collection for about 800 ,which paid for maschine ,and a focusrite Saffire pro 14 .and I brought logic ,far better setup with loads more sounds and routing options and intergration.
Only thing I miss about the ren is the xtra USB ports and maybe the qlinks and assigning them to plugins but I've not got to using plug ins in maschine
But the fact u can route 4 ins to the sampler is cool
Intergrating with logic is cool I can sample straight from logic to maschine ,drag and drop midi ,the pads feel nicer and more responsive ,swings a bit different but I've got my head around it and u actually have more options,
And I was sort of put off by the colours and look but after using it it's really cool and intuitive ,easy to use ,not even looked at the manual ,and u can assign them colours or turn them off but they can be helpful, bit of a dust magnet ,lol
The two screens rock u can pretty much do it all without looking at the computer
I've only had it for 4 days ,so glad I got it
