Record samples directley from youtube?

I know theres a way to do this because about 2 years ago I was doing it. Ive been sampling off vinyl for the longest into the 2500, but there are just some songs I cant get on vinyl. I cant remember how I did it. Please help.

get a cable that has a stereo input on one that you could plug into your computers headphone outs, then it has red and white on the other side, then get an adaptor that fits the rca one one side, and its a 1/4 inch on other side. soyou can plug it directly into your mpc from your comp.

What soundcard do you have?
Mac or PC?

On mine (Fireface 800) I can just cmd-click mixer tracks that i want to internally re-route back to the inputs.

You can also download Soundflower to achieve the same thing.

I assume that you're talking about recording YouTube audio into your computer, otherwise yeah, just use a cable to your 2500.

Audacity is free and also allows you to record what you hear.

I use WireTap Pro on Mac but there are a few ways to do it. Just using a YouTube downloader and converting to wav would be okay.

However, youtube quality blows - I've gone on there looking for a spoken word sample from a movie but for musical loops it's a bit lo-fi and not in a cool way. Okay for placeholder I guess but worth hunting down at least a CD or uncompressed version.

route your outputs to mpcs record inputs or sample using computer, transfer over to mpc internal storage or memory card, burn it on cd if you got cd-rw.

On my Mac with Safari I use the "Click to Flash" & " Click to Plugin" extensions to download videos.
I've been finding obscure soul, disco and House Music YouTube videos that I only convert the 720p videos to Wav. Any videos lower than 720p and then converted sound like shit.
