How to change Operating Systems?

Okay i know this may be a noobie question but i want to know how to switch my OS v1.14 to the OS v1.20. i guess i need v1.20 to transfer files back and forth to my macbook pro and mpc2kXL. i also just bought an internal Multi Card Reader Flash Drive so before i install it i want to have the v.1.20, Please Help and Thank You.

So you are going to install a card drive.
What do you have built into the mpc at present for storage? Zip or floppy?

You are going to have to visit the Akaipro website and download the OS. Unzip it onto a floppy (or zip disk) and load it into the machine.
The manual tells you how to do this but it's easy to work out if you poke around in the load window.

As of right now its a Zip.. and okay thanks but how would i be able to unzip it into a zip disk if i have a macbook pro? should i do it on a regular computer so i can put the zip in and unzip it there?

Use a USB Zip drive.
Maybe you could borrow one?
Unzip the .bin onto the zip disk and put it in the mpc.
