When I layer my drums I usually like to add a little bit of silence before samples so I can get the waveforms to align properly. What's the fastest and easiest way to accomplish this?

I would recommend you make a blank sample the precise length of the silence you want (set the sample time in the sampling page and record silence) then insert it into the start of your drum hit etc. using INSERT SAMPLE -> START
as shown on page 185 of the manual.

Nice tip, you learn something new everyday. I never really looked at sample start to layer drums.

So the start parameter will make the note start later? Shifted to the right? That's a really awesome tip and will make layering drums a whole lot easier now.
