Im trying to sequence my MPC2500 JJOS XL with Ableton Lives sequencer. Basically, Im trying to use my MPC as a MIDI controller and a sound module for Ableton. I like the workflow of chopping drums and samples with the MPC which is why I want to use it with my daw. I am using the MPC pads to record MIDI notes in an ableton midi clip. I have the midi from ableton routed back to the MPC, but when I play back the clip in Ableton it does not trigger the drum sounds in the MPC. Has anyone done this successfully?
