No problem man, good luck.

Right I'm close now. Ipad is jailbroken now. I file installed. I have drilled down trough /var and found the impc app. Within the documents folder there just one sequence file '1.sxq'. And also a sequence folder that I have exported from impc app. But the bulk of my documents folder is just the hundreds of wav files that I had imported from iTunes. Apart from those, I can see none of the factory sequences anywhere within that whole /var impc hierarchy. Am I missing something?

Yeah, I get the same thing. The stock sequences are probably in some sort of compressed, binary format. Your best bet is to load them and then export them individually if you want to bring them into the MPC desktop app.

These impc pro features seem pretty well thought out for the iPad(touch gestures). I wonder if 1.7 will have some similar features from this.(set parameter globally across seq) Got me curious.

The only thing about using the iPad for me is the latency.. I like sequencing my patterns/seq/events live. Generally speaking i need to set the sample buffer size to 64 samples.

Also, with the ren hanging around in that shot, i wonder if they will make the studio and ren work with the impc pro… with iOS drivers...

It will definitely work with the MPC Element because it is class compliant (driverless). They could probably do a firmware update and make it work with the Studio and Ren.

I use the current version with the Quneo pad controller and a template that Sinapsya released. works great and is as portable as the Ipad.

I just want to be able to save and reload sequences. Using impc. Akai surely this can be updated to include as seems like such a simple feature and a massive omission. ?

Lol, when asked about the release date he stated that they are squashing bugs and it will be released when its ready, without giving and estimate. Typical Retronyms attitude. The irony is that there are plenty of bugs in the current iMPC app. that were never fixed, such as the IAA bug that causes iMPC to stop playing when switching to an IAA instrument.

I'm hoping for a solid product, but with these guys and their track record its been all smoke and mirrors.

The new app. All looks great akai. But how about you respond to the question about saving and importing sequences on impc? Please, there are users wanting this feature! Let's hear from you?

Yeah, I read that in the comments of the duck video. I'm sure it will release soon, but it will most likely be missing key things for me to support it. I also read somebody mention Audiobus and got no reply when I clearly see them replying to a few questions so I know they saw it. They ducked it.

The "novice" impc app will never get updated again and IMO it's too damn late anyway. I've moved on. I use cubasis for my iPad beat making now.

Duck it, lol. Yeah their latest excuse for not including Audiobus is because they are under the impression that IAA would be added to Audiobus and since they are including IAA they don't have to bother with adding Audiobus. As if Audiobus is something they would have to develop from scratch.

I hate the way this app has evolved. The original iMPC I was using as a drum machine, wanting a simple update that allows me to save and re-import sequences. Please consider it Akai. Or at least have the common decency to answer my posts regarding this!
