editing using midi

I don't have the 8 outs in my mpc yet but is there any software i can get to edit the samples on my pads using midi connected to my comp. and then record using the regular outs? i am new to recording can someone help me out?

8 outs has nothing to do with what you are trying to do. You need to list what kind of MPC and the type of computer you are using so cats can suggest the options that are available.

i have the mpc 2000xl and a powerbook g4. all i want to do is edit the samples on my pads then record my beats... 4 under $600
