In my set up, I have my mpc500 triggering Reasons working with Redrum. I have a sample I imported into my mpc but I can't get it to play with Redrum. When I sync Reason up with the mpc, it overrides all the sounds in the MPC. Is there a way I can use both the sounds in the mpc and in Reason at the same time while using the mpc as the controller? If not, is there any configuration that will allow me to sync my sounds in the mpc with the sounds in Reason?

At MPC-samples.com they have a good ebook for using mpc with Reason. It's real cheap too and it helped me to get sounds from both simultaneously.

If you do get it working you can't export your beat with both sound sources unless you have a 2 track recorder (I wasn't aware of this so until I cop one it's useless rigging them up together!)

Hey Guys, I've been around the world in my set up since I made my last post and my issues is slightly different now. I run Digital Performer 8. I have a Motu Traveler sound card interface and I have a Midi sport 4x4 in which I have 4 sound module plugged in including my mpc 500 which is in port D. I work with Reasons. My flow begins in reason and the mpc. I want to control Reasons with my mpc while using the mpc as a separate sound module in DP8 like my other three. Ultimately, I want to be able to trigger Reason Drums through my mpc pads and have everything sync to play with my other modules. I called tech support at Motu and they said something about Interchange Midi Application, but I wasn't in front of my rig and I can't find anyone to steer me. Does this make sense, and if so, can this be done, and if so, how?
