MPC Studio's Midi Controller Mode

hey all, just got the mpc studio. i want to use it to control reason as well, like i currently have my maschine set up (using Page C in the factory templates). does the mpc studio controller have a standalone midi controller mode, the way maschine does?

i figured out how to map the pads to work with reason using Midi Controller Mode in the MPC software, but it would be nice if it could be done without opening the MPC software everytime you want to use the controller with another program. Is this not possible yet, or am I missing something?

Sorry, no. You need to open MPC Software to use controller mode.

Thats what I wanted from the first day i have bought the MPC REN....an universal midi controller mode without starting the MPC Software......Maschine can do it..without software....you can only go to the Akai forum page and share it for a feature request...perhaps they.....
