CHANGING TO OS v1.20 Help!

I saw your YouTube video and I noticed you did not format the new Zip disk BEFORE copying os1.20 (if file is zipped then unzip before copying). I think the MPC sees only an unformatted file. Sure you copied the file to Zip disk but if Zip disk is in un-recognized format, then MPC will never see the file. Hope you can understand this.

1. FAT-Format
2. Unzip file if zipped
3. Copy os file to Zip disk

Try Zip disk in MPC2000XL.

For some reason you are trying to use a file with a .cpgz extension on the filename, or something like that.

It looks like the file you are trying to use is named MPC2KXL-10.BIN.cpgz

What you need is a file named MPC2KXL.BIN

The zipped archive file that you download from the Akai website, as a .ZIP file, called mpc2kxl.zip, contains the MPC2KXL.BIN file that you need to extract and use to update the MPC.

Not sure if the .cpgz file you are trying to use has been correctly extracted from the downloaded .ZIP file, or not.
