opening up the xl

sup yall was wondering if theres any good videos sites etc with step by step info on how to open up the case on 2000xl ?? the jog wheel needs fixing or replacement in it im not sure what the issue is you can turn it but it doesnt register on screen like its not connecting to the cog or whatever mechanisim it uses if you grip it tight an pull it upwards slightly it will work but that really cuts down the work flow of everything. it feels like the cogs broken because it doesnt click like it should was thinking if i open it up an glue it back or blu tack it or something it may work but dont want to open anything up without a little knowledge first in fear of making things worse haha. any help would be greatly appreciated

What Lamp said… it's easy to open up the MPC.
But first, try using the Jog wheel test on the 2000XL:
- Hit SHIFT + 5 (TRIM) then SHIFT + F1
- Hit MEMCHK
- Hit PADCHK
- Hit JOG to check the jog wheel

the actual jog wheel is broken still works just have to pull it upwards just not sure what i should be looking for when i open it up etc

It's a very easy machine to open up. If you need a vid go to MPCStuff.com. And use Mike's brilliant ice cube tray screw separation method. Use post it notes to label those jokers if need be. It actually is way too easy to mix up the two smallest sets and then not have your casing go back on right.
