iMPC Pro!

Seems like they're putting a few gimmicks in this app.

Perhaps hate is the wrong word I agree. But you've missed the point. I asked akai repeatedly for a response and they've been too ignorant to provide one.

I think that's the problem, you asked Akai. You have to contact the developer, Retronyms. Akai's name is on the product, but Retronyms is clearly calling the shots. They do respond to questions, just don't ask anything about Audiobus or they will send you off on a wild goose chase:)

The big question now is or should be:WILL iMPC BE COMPATIBLE WITH iOS 8!!! which is supposed to come out in the fall???

Thanks, Ive contacted retronyms now. Here's another question. If I take a full ipad 'backup' and then restore it, will that save my sequences in the backup?

In IOS 8, third party developers are granted free access to the use of cloud kit, in even simpler ways. So technically it should be possible to save your files in the icloud, then later recall them, if the app developers grand you as the consumer, access to icloud space.

Thanks. But I'm talking about right now on my ipad 1 with iOS 5 can I take a backup and restore which will include sequences?

look up 'ifunbox'... this software allows you access to the ios file structure

Yes but that doesn't allow access to the sequences (scroll up these posts earlier)

Maybe it is not possible to access the individual sequences directly, maybe they are all contained within the 1.sxq file?

I would expect that a full restore would restore the iMPC sequence data, as that is the idea of a "full" restore, to restore everything, but unless someone here has tried it, no one will know for sure.

I doubt Retronyms are going to go back and add an import function to iMPC, it is over, they have moved on to iMPC Pro.

Thanks. I think you're right they probably are stored in there. That's a shame. Has anyone been able to do a full restore and does it work?

Considering the layout of iMPC pro, which is in IOS 7 graphic design, I don't think that's possible. Not just because of the graphic design, but because of SDK's that are mandatory for the latest apps, in development which are supported by IOS 7 and expanded on in IOS 8.

What you can do is connect your iPad to the computer, go into to app. And drag those sequences/ sounds etc. from there onto your computer.

I forgot if icloud was supported by IOS 5, and if so, it was hard to implement in apps. And also not fully supported anyway.

What you're suggesting here just isn't possible. Sadly. If it were that easy I wouldn't have posted numerous asks for help. Appreciate you wanting to help though.
