trouble loading wav files using XP as the portal

Help!
Whats the secret to loading wav files into your 2KXL when you use windows XP to A. burn a CD with the Wave files on the disk B. even to floppy.
I have trouble with the MPC seeing them. I even use short names to name the files. Do i need to use a differen OS on my pc?

MPC>SCSI ZIP>SCSI CD ROM> SCSI HD <----my config

1) Is XP SP1 or SP2?
2) What software are you using to burn?
3) Who or what formatted the disks? And in what format?
4) What does the MPC show when loading the disk?
5) Is the drive even recognized by the MPC?

5) Is the drive even recognized by the MPC? Yes All my SCSI drives can be seen, but it seems if I use Windows media player to burn a disk It doesn't recognize the disk. When I use a regular floppy, it says file not recognized.
Puzzling....

I forgot, I chopped some samples up using CoolEdit2, saved the files as wav files and then to floppy....MPC didn't like'em. Not sure why.

You still didn't say what machine formatted the floppy and what particular format you used.

Files/samples are NEED to be 44khz/16bit wav files. Maybe you are actually burning an audio CD instead of a DATA CD.

File not recognized is because you need 44khz/16bit wav's.
