slider cap repair

just returned a 5000 [what a hunk of junk]
and copped a 4000 with 8 out
the difference is obvious
however the 4000 came with one of the slider caps off
any ideas on this repair?

i should have been more clear
the little metal part is snapped off into the cap
i have an unsed cap from a trashed 2000 but the metal shaft i think has been sheard off

Just replace the actual slider (Slide Potentiometer).
