@petegoodliffe any eta for the 1.7 update?

Pete Goodliffe ‏@petegoodliffe · May 31
@beatwyze we're just getting into a heavy QA phase; it's been a while since 1.6 but that's because this is a big release

BeatWyze ‏@BeatWyze · May 31
@petegoodliffe awesome!

DJ Illustrious ‏@DJ_Illustrious · May 31
@petegoodliffe Awesome, I've had a REN and Studio and sold them both, but if 1.7 really delivers I'll buy another Studio.

Pete Goodliffe ‏@petegoodliffe · May 31
@DJ_Illustrious Honestly: 1.7 delivers much. And also sets us up to deliver LOADS more. We delayed to set groundwork for more good stuff.

BobbyBaki ‏@BDrake71 · May 31
@petegoodliffe This is great news. Sounds like you all did some renovating.

Cory ‏@Corydgipson · Jun 2
@petegoodliffe @BeatWyze Hey Pete. I'll be glad when you guys stop teasing us and drop that 1.7! lol

Pete Goodliffe ‏@petegoodliffe · Jun 2
@corydgipson @beatwyze Honestly, it is coming. We can't wait to get it out to you guys so we can move on to v1.8 :-)

Beats By West ‏@hiphopbeats · Jun 2
@petegoodliffe @Corydgipson @BeatWyze After 1.7 will the updates be more frequent?

Pete Goodliffe ‏@petegoodliffe · Jun 2
@hiphopbeats @corydgipson @beatwyze v1.8 will come far more quickly, and will have more important goodness (because of groundwork on v1.7)

Yeah I bet they come more quickly , so u can get to 2.0 and start charging for updates to pay for all this extra work on a product released two years ago .

hope they make a mk2 model ren tho

Lol, yup. This seems to be the trend now-a-days. Damn capitalist... :(

Let's hope they've got the provisions in place for an official Yosemite update in a few months time, rather than trying to wing it like they have with Mavericks.

i won´t spare you submissive fanboys the truth. five words: too many needless goodliffe tweets. as things stand at the moment they are vicariously embarrassing to read. the whole idea of unveiling the standalone mpc device at microsoft's developer conference was a slap in the face for everyone who purchased the still immature, poorly conceived ren/mpc software combo. what a shame.

Mavericks is just a **** all around! Pro Tools 10 even still does not have Mavericks support. For some reason, Mavericks also makes some uninstallers not work. I got rid of Mav and went back to ML on my MBP! Never even updated my Mac Pro. But I do have Mav on my iMac just mainly for testing. But will not use Mav for anything serious. Even things unrelated to music is really buggy for me.

He's responding to questions people are asking him. Would you prefer he ignore the users instead???

While the Ren/Studio was extremely underpowered at 1.0, I don't think the prototype they showed is a slap in the face to anyone. People ASKED for a new hardware MPC for the last 3 years, non-stop. Then when they are shown one, you think it's a slap in the face???

Basis of the thread is to keep people current on the 1.7 update who don't have twitter accounts. It's a good thing he answering our questions, though the answers are vague because of contractual obligations. I ain't mad at him.
