Got some tips to make youre own sounds..
this is always wurth try`n when you R short of samples ,

"Make shaker sound from hiss"

Sample hiss at high level from any sound source ,
sutch as turntable, synth, mic that produces hiss...
then remove the low eq from the hiss and cut it down to just 100 - 200 milliseconds ...

"Bassline out of loose singnal cables"

you`ve know the sound that you get from touching singnal cables when there still connected... sample that ,
low the level of the hi eq  .. then just pitch it down to diffrent  speeds where you can  get diffrent tones out of it.[/color]

Beatbox on a mic, cut the individual sounds EQ & Compress them and vuala, u have yaself a drum kit. My friends were well Impressed when I first did this, my kicks were soundin heavy!![/color]

on a synth.

Take a preset like a trumpet, or anything, and switch the rom sample it uses, but keep the preset parameters.

Copy effects from one preset to another.

On a sample.

Eq it, or bit convert it, or apply some sort of filter. Then mix it with the original.

Puts some reverb on it, then dont let the orignal sound mix in, just keep the reverb.

Experimental

go to a thrift store, and search the "kids toys" and find something that makes noise, sample it. LIke those musical books, or even a cheap as kids keyboard.

Sample a ring tone, add reverb, add 8 tap delay, take out low rumble and bearly audible loq noise. Slow down (my friends ring tone was too fast) and instantly had me a rhythm. Added dirty low samplerate drums and now that beat is unstoppable.

this dj i go to school with, wires kids toys with analog outputs to do live shows not exactly sure how its done but its been going on for years, ill ask him about a website then post

If it has a speaker you can solder a 1/4 inch jack and get an audio out.
Just take the + lead solder it to one side of the jack, then from the jack then take a wire back to the open +pole.
That will give you a Mono output of the Toy.

1. Take the remote control for your television (any remote should work).
2. Aim it at the pickups of an electric guitar, a couple inches away.
3. Mic what comes out of the amp, and manipulate it any way you want.

Different buttons can make different tones.

very cool

years ago when i first copped my mpc, i sampled my nephew (he was 1), just had him baby talkin for a minute, then i flowers with the sounds so much, it didnt sound human at all when i was done.

put a mic inside a cardboard box and tap the box with your fingers or a drumstick for a good bass drum.


A chicks a$$ cheeks make a great clap when you smack it just right (im not playin)
