KRK RP6 G3 or Adam F5???

Hey,

I'm looking to buy some studio monitors and went to the shop thinking, ima buy these fine new KRK RP6 G3's......but then the guy said; but do you like the sound of these...and turned on the Adam F5's.....

They sounded really warm, full and bright all together comparing to the KRK's.

The Adam's are a bit pricier but nothing much...

What would you do and/or recommend me?

I'm hooking them up to my MPC Renaissance.

Adam yes, there amazing. If your going to go Krk I would go with the VXT line.

I don't want to be a 'look i got me some G3 KRK's, just because KRK is the brand everybody knows'.....
I just want the best sound for my budget....

To give you the prices;

2x KRK RP6 G3 + Auralex MoPad = 369,- Euro
2x Adam F5 + Auralex MoPad = (after discussing) 400,- Euro

KRK are good monitors but the Rokits are perhaps a little too lively to be brilliantly accurate. I think a lot of people just buy them by default because you see them everywhere and the yellow looks cool.

I went with RCF Ayras after looking at Rokits - not as flat as Yamaha's, which can be a bit TOO flat, but a much higher-end sound than the Rokits and I think because they are not as well-known in the UK think they are being very keenly priced to get a foothold.

I would skip the Mopads. Yeah they Decouple, but there way better solutions.
