Yes.

But only 2 channels at a time, like your main stereo outputs, or two of the MPC's assignable outputs.

Go for an audio interface with more inputs if the funds are there, it makes life so much easier in the long run.

Thanks man. So what would be the classic way of tracking out a beat to a DAW. Do you use the midi ports or the stereo outs. If you dont mind giving me a breif description of what i would plug into that device from my mpc id appreciate it.

You can't use midi to transmit audio… only midi datat through the midi ports (kinda obvious). But you can use the midi ports to sync the mpc with your DAW.
-> connect the midi-out from your mp to the midi-in on the interface and the midi-in on the mp to the midi-out on the interface. Next you need to set up your mp to receive midi sync data from the DAW and DAW to receive the data from the mp. Then just connect the stereo out (or if you have more than these two outputs you can connect them aswell) from the mpc to the inputs on the interface.

With that interface,

Connect MPC main stereo outputs* directly to the interface line inputs.

Set your DAW to record.

Press PLAY on the MPC.

Don't complicate matters by worrying about MIDI sync, unless it is absolutely necessary for some reason.

You DO NOT NEED MIDI SYNC TO TRACK OUT BEATS, but in certain situations it helps 'automate' the process and match (sync) the timing.

Its not working

Iv connected all the cables but it wont play in the daw

This seems impossible without someone who has already done this

The customer service offered by Avid is quite poor as well

I dont see how someone can just figure this type of stuff out on their own

What kind of daw are you using?

Roughly it works like this in most DAW's:

Make a new audio track. Assign the interface's inputs to this track. Record arm the track. Most of the time it's a button with the record symbol that turns red once you push it on the track's lable at the left side of your screen or the mixer.

You should be able to hear your MPC playing back. When you press the record button on the transport bar it should start recording.

1)Connect MPC outputs to AUDIO INTERFACE inputs via 1/4 TRS cables.
2)Turn on MPC
3)Load Project in MPC
4)Make sure sample/program/track output assignments are correct, turn up volume on MPC
5)Make sure that AUDIO INTERFACE has inputs set to -4dB LINE LEVEL.
6) Create necessary audio tracks in Pro Tools and make sure that Pro Tools recognizes and is using your AUDIO INTERFACE to process audio.
7) Assign Inputs to your tracks via the Pro Tools Mix Window, Input/output assignment is located above the fader and below the sends.
Record enable your tracks in Pro Tools.
9) Press play on the MPC
10) See if audio is showing up in Pro Tools (Check for any gain staging errors)
11) Record

Hey whats good yo, i got the same interface a few days ago. I use adobe audition to track out my beats but whenever i connect the mpc main outputs to the inout on the interface, you can hear a buzzing noise. Could it be the interface or the cables? Btw i tried connecting the outputs into the guitar in and line in put neither work.
