[offtopic] Hi, Right now, i would like you to break down for me, how to make The Game's "Dreams" instrumental on the MPC 1000. If you would like to know the sample, it's on whosampled .com.. It's really important to me that i understand how to duplicate exactly how it was constructed. If you can do that to a T, let me know.. Also, i need help with my precession looping and detecting tempos of the sample in able to get my chops perfect,

$12.50 an hour for one-to-one music production tuition is very unrealistic, they pay more for floor moppers at KFC.

I know a sound designer/producer who may be able to help, but he charges around $100/hour. He'll also need to be paid for the time he spends planning the lessons for you as obviously he's going to need time to examine the beat and deconstruct it before any of the one-to-one stuff begins.

I'd tutor you on the MPC, but not for $12.50 an hour. I'd work for £25 an hour which is probably about $45.

In all fairness though bud, put in the effort to deconstruct the track yourself, asking on here for any advice, and you can do it yourself. You'll teach yourself a lot going through it manually too.

It's not a difficult track to reproduce.

more to the point, don't spend any time recreating someone else's track... make your own!



a lot can be learned through exercises like this but at the end of it you just end up with a copy of someone else's track as opposed your own piece.

I really think that you should just start playing with your MPC, and read manuals and howto books.
You'll need patience, and best way to learn tool is experiment with your tool, in this case, your MPC-1000.
I read MPC-2000XL manual front to back, but other MPC users learn without reading manual, but either way, you have to mess with your MPC in order to learn.

I think your money is better spent on well-written tutorial like this:
