MPC5000 reviews, bug reports and fellow user support on the most recent standalone, hardware MPC from Akai

This question has been asked before but was never actually diagnosed and officially solved. I have only found one other persona asking it online and he never got response further than to try a 2.0 os reinstall which, didn't solve the issue. The guy on here said he blew out the mpc with compressed air and checked cable seating which appeared to solve the problem but, he hasn't come back since '12 to say whether this fix lasted or the problem cam back.

Has there been any new revelations or info on this one as, I've picked up a used 5000 and it has the same problem.

Many thanks in advance

That is a classic error message it will say;

Audio Sync Failed.
Please Reboot MPC5000!

Unfortunately it's one of those unresolved aspects that makes you need to send it to a service center.
Based on the fact that there have been some known MPC5ks with hardware issues the whole concept of buying a broke 5k is pretty brave.
