Thing is I really don't even need at all. I just have an app addiction. If there's no MIDI Out in v.1.0 I may wait. And it looks unlikely. Because I think that's the main thing I'd use it for is to have MPC style sequencing to pipe out to the couple keyboards here and maybe some VST's ITB to not have to sit staring at the screen.

I realize most are looking to do whole songs in it, but I've never quite got dialed in to doing major work on iOS. More of of an lazy lying down thing to catch loops to use later in almost all my apps.

But it is great that I could only use an iPad if I chose to. I'm on iPad 3 still and it's getting long in the tooth. I'm broke though so I don't know if selling a minty Fantom G even dusty is worth it for an iPad Air and....well probably a huge amount of weed.

But I'm starting to feel like with IAA and Audiobus and having invested in Aria and some plugins I maybe should do it. iOS is finally mature enough that it feels like a less cumbersome interface than a well specified laptop.

If Apple ever drop the rumoured 12" iPad it may make it more of a reality, but yeah, I just tinker around with my iPhone with music apps. It's pretty amazing what you can do with them though.

It's probably worth mentioning that if this app has just been submitted, it could take a while for it to be approved. I wouldn't be expecting it to be available for Monday morning!

You're probably right Wednesday/Thursday is likely the earliest ETA.

I want a 12" iPad too. And I realize the Air series has lighter units. But I need to get my weight up. The 3 gets heavy after awhile. And my ipAd 1 feels like a cinder block these days.

It's so cheap I'm bound to give it a go. But I'm so used to beatmaker 2 now that I'm not sure the point of having loads of overlapping apps that basically do the same thing. I tend to use beatmaker 2 as a bit of fun, to scratch an itch when I'm in Spain and travelling light.

The main use I've found for iOS apps are the cool virtual synths you can hook up via iRig, turning the device into just another sound module.

The iPad Mini is the perfect size for general use. I bought my girlfriend one for Christmas and when I occasionally wrestle it away from her (under much duress!) I can use it for hours at a time.

It's probably not the best for music apps though.

Yeah I rock a 27" and a 40" monitor desktop, my laptop is near 18" LED. So I'm a whore for big screens.

But ergonomically yeah the mini is dope.

I've been using a 17" MBP for the past few years which has left my eyesight in tatters! I'm getting the 27" iMac soon which will be a nice improvement.

I use the Cinema joint, but same exact LED in both. You can go 40-50% brightness and it still pops without raping your corneas. I only turn it up for watching video which looks incredible at Retina resolutions.

So it works with the Element via Apple iPad Camera Connection (which I was told not to get until they update for faulty issues).....my question is will it work with the Fly?
