I was thinking about trying out os3 because I'd like to have lfo retrigger off and transpose to q-link, but I've been working on a live set and I'm pretty far in and wanted to see if it would load my work.

I made a lot of my programs as Overlap INST pgms which I see are not on OS3, so does anyone know if they would just load as a non-overlap inst pgm?

Thanks.

I just ended up trying it and seeing what happened. Portamento works which is really cool.

There are some really cool features of os3 that I wish were in os2xl and some in os2xl, I wish were in os3.

Os3 transpose to q-link is cool, but I couldn't transpose down. LFO retrigger off is cool, but I guess you have to give up multiple lfo destination. Overlap pgms loaded to non-overlap programs, but it's nice to be able to layer.

I just went back to os2xl in the end because I really like the active track button in the track mute page. Didn't see it in OS3. Also no effects banks.

yeah got to go to the Qlink setting page and set the range! it will go down if you set it to.

you mean to change track in mute screen - you just press shift key and pad and it will make that track active.

FX banks? huh? you mean you can not find the FX screen? It is in there my man, you just missed it maybe. Or do you mean the FX change by sequence. Cos that is something that might be missing from memory. It still has the option to insert in the sequencer the FX change but not sure about that. I think it is in there and i have to look for you but not sure.

yeah I know but in the OS3 sequencer you can set the FX number, so why is that in there??
is it a bug or is an oversight?
I reckon bug probably but its not buggy so to speak, they just left it in instead of removing it. So to clarify you can still enter the FX number as an event in the sequencer window. :hmmm:
I might try and get a project from XL with the FX numbers and then go to OS3 and see if it works. I mean I know its not likely as they say you can not but ........ hhhhhhmmmmmmm why is it available option in the sequencer?
Oh well least i solved all OPs other probs though
