MPC 2000XL to/via Soundcard

Hey guys, I'm getting my 2000XL soon and was curious to see if many people run theirs through a soundcard instead of directly running monitors.

So my setup will be MPC > External soundcard > Monitors

I've never used MIDI ports in my life. Could I use these? I'd rather take these ports as the others (RCA/JACKS) have been used up.

Btw, my card is an NI Komplete Audio 6

One other thing, The MPC has a Multi Card Reader built in. Any flash cards known to not work? And I've read that 1GB is the limit. True?

Cheers guys, yeah guess I was more curious on who ran MPC's through soundcards.
The reason why I thought it could help me is because I use my monitors through my PC hence the external soundcard. I engineer on this PC and don't have any other decent speakers/monitors to use with the MPC.

With producing I use an MPD and software. Now that I'm both hardware/software based I'd need to run it through my soundcard just to eliminate the hassle to changing cables each time I wanted to bang a beat out on the MPC.

Hope this makes sense. But yeah, guess I'll just use the input jacks on the soundcard anyway.
