Hi there,

I have a weird problem with my MPC 1000 running JJ OS2XL (newest update).

Occasionally my notes are getting choked, so I only hear the beginning of them and then they stop. You can hear this on the third note in this recording (the fourth note is how the sample is supposed to sound):

Any ideas of what could be wrong, and if it's a software or hardware issue? BTW I'm using the thick fat pads from MPCstuff...

Best regards,

have you also updated the free version that is underneath OSXL to Free JJOS 3.16? You have to do that as well as the XL update. just so you know, but to me it sounds more like the Qlink data to sample start time or velocity to amp start time is set maybe but more like qlink data imho. could also be cycle pad mode is on and its playing different chops or loop mode is not quite right maybe. I doubt its your pads though cos you would know right with other programs and not just this or is is all the time?

oh sorry i was thinking maybe velocity or 'pressure to LFO on the pitch or amp might do it, but then i think only pitch will do it something like that. but im not sure if its pitch or sample start that is changing. have you checked in the step sequence window for Qlink data? not qlink window as it might be off but the info is still in the sequence.
And yeah velocity to LFO is OS3 not XL. Try OS3 if you want to see that function as it is free for Xl users.
yeah turn off your mute groups and see if it fixes it, then if it does then you can fix that by changing the groups up
